Jumpsuits - different styles and how to wear them.

Hi everyone,

I asked you all on snapchat (thefashionchair) for a few ideas on what topics you would like covered and a lot of you mentioned jumpsuits, how to wear them and what styles are available etc. I have rounded up my 10 favourites from the high street that are different colours, shapes and fit so hopefully this will be of benefit and you find one that you like.

24th birthday celebrations - What I wore

Hi everyone!

I hope you are all well. It has been a month or so since I last sat down to write a blog post and truth be told, I felt that I lost all my motivation and determination to keep going. Working does get in the way of course but I have picked myself back up again and feel more than ready to get back into the swing of things.  It was my 24th birthday at the end of July and if you want to find out the details on what I wore then keep on reading :)

Summer Hair Style Ideas

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all having a great week so far. I headed home Sunday for the first time since moving to Galway over 2 months ago and it was so nice to be back. There really is nothing like your own bed and although I was only in Donegal for 24 hours the trip was perfect timing after a crappy week!

Thursday Shoesday!

Hi Everyone,

Happy Thursday! It's kind of scaring me how fast the weeks are going in, does anyone else feel the same? Although, July is always my favourite month of the year because it's my birthday in 3 weeks yay!

SheIn Wishlist

Hi everyone,

I hope you all had a great week. I moved into my new apartment last Thursday and my sister came to visit on the Sunday so the last few weeks have been busy to say the least. The only thing is that I now live a little too close to town so I have a feeling that trips to Penney's will be very frequent!  I am back with another fashion related post today and it's a wishlist based on a website called SheIn. Some of you may have heard of it, some of you may not and if you haven't, then all the better as this is now a new clothing destination for you to browse!

Daisy Dixon watches arrive at Steven's Jewellers*

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well and enjoying the beautiful sunshine we are having - long may it last! I haven't been blogging much since moving to Galway as I wanted to get into a routine with a schedule instead of posting for the sake of it. It feels great to be back into the swing of things again and I have lots of new content coming your way over the next few months! :) In today's post I am introducing you all to a new watch brand that has just landed to Steven's Jewellers Letterkenny ... Daisy Dixon!

Denim & Print

Hi Everyone.

I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful weather we are having and long may it last! I was in Dublin on Wednesday for a River Island press day and the launch of the Stila SS16 collection in Harvey Nichols Dundrum which I will be covering in a separate blog post. It was a fun day and I shot this outfit while I was there. The focus is on denim dungaree dresses which are really funky for day or night wear.

Accessories to update any look

How many of us underestimate what a hat or statement pair of earrings can do to your outfit? A dress that can seem shapeless will be brought to life with a belt, a plain shirt can be jazzed up with a detachable collar and a fedora hat can make you go from fashion intern to creative director.

STATEMENT NECKLACES

The secret to dressing up a basic top or dress is with a statement necklace. As you can see, this everyday top was made that little bit more funky and it is great to experiment with a little pattern-the bolder the better! I particularly love the necklace with this dress pictured below. Although the look doesn't need an excessive amount of accessories, I think the statement necklace makes the dress even more chic.

I love this necklace from River Island pictured below and you can see it HERE

FEDORA HATS

Not for the faint hearted, it can take a few trial runs before you feel completely comfortable wearing fedora hats in public but all it takes is one try and you won't look back. Not only are they uber stylish but they have saved me from a multitude of bad hair days! They add an instant element of individuality and turn a somewhat normal outfit into something extraordinary.

I love this one from ASOS - it's the perfect colour for matching everything and you can see it HERE

EMBELLISHED COLLARS

Embellished collars are an underrated accessory. They instantly dress up a plain denim or white shirt and also create a more funky look. Some shirts you can purchase ready made with the embellishment on them, some collars are sold separately but above all else why not DIY and create a customised shirt you know no one will have?

I thought this one was really funky - click HERE to see it

WAIST BELTS

Waist belts are one of the best accessories and not because they uplift a monotonous, shapeless dress but they also accentuate your figure to maximum effect - especially hourglass and pear shapes. The right type of belt can even give the allusion of a waist if you don't have one and with a wide variety to choose from (skinny to wide) you will find one to suit your needs. I like to use them as an excuse to release my inner Beyonce haha!

I love love the embellished detail on this belt pictured below and it would be amazing paired with a plain dress. See it HERE

SUNGLASSES

Not just for when the sun appears, sunglasses have now become a stylish accessory and I like to use them for my style diaries. There are so many shapes, colours and styles to choose from so always make sure to invest in a pair that is suitable for your face shape. Penney's have a great range as always but I also love this animal print pair. Believe it or not they are from Tesco and cheap as chips!

See them HERE

Let me know if you try any of these tips or have any hidden gems that aren't mentioned here, I always love to hear from you all.

Until next time,

Emma

Interning at London Fashion Week

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are having a great weekend and making the most of what is left of it! Can anyone else find it hard to believe that we are almost in the middle of March / approaching St. Patrick's Day?! Summer will be here before we know it and I would certainly LOVE to see some sunshine!

Today's post is one of my favourite to date - interning at London Fashion Week. I will talk you through how I got the internship, details on where I stayed, what airport I flew into, the designers and experience as a whole. I really hope you enjoy it as much as I loved putting it together and if you want to find out more then just keep on reading! :)

Military Off Duty

Hi Everyone,

I am back with a military inspired style diary today and it's Penney's head to toe - (Apart from the belt, that is H&M) I do not know what I would do if that store didn't exist and I genuinely think half of Ireland would be naked! None the less, I can always count on them for whatever look I feel like creating and hopefully you can take some inspo from the post.

Hi Everyone,

Happy Thursday and I hope all is well. I am still catching up on some sleep from returning from London and I look forward to sharing my Fashion Week post with you all very soon. Today's post is based on 2 sale items I purchased from Pretty Little Thing - an emerald green suede jacket and black pointed boots.

My current star buy's from Penney's ... all under €20!

Hi Everyone,

How are we all doing? Tomorrow is Friday and I don't know about anyone else but I cannot wait for the weekend! Has anyone got anything nice planned? One of my gal pals is coming down from Sligo and we are going to hit the town on Saturday night for a few drinks and a boogie! :) It is also a little celebratory night for my most recent exciting news that I shared on Facebook last night - it's a lifelong dream that's finally coming true.

I was blown away by all of the lovely comments and want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. The post only reached over 2,000 people (why I have a love/hate relationship with Facebook) so if you missed it, click HERE to find out what I will be up to in a few weeks and let me know if you would like me to document everything for a blog post (A little hint is that I will be heading over the water to London) ... I am beyond ecstatic!!

Hi Everyone,

Hope you all had a lovely weekend and there aren't too many sores heads today! I am back in the swing of outfit posts again (cannot wait until my new camera arrives next week) and I am basing this post on a collaboration with the insanely talented Maire from MMC designs.

Hello everyone,
