Mc Elhinneys Autumn / Winter Lookbook *

Hi everyone!

Hope all is well. I am very excited to be back with another lookbook. This post is based on a few pieces I styled from Promise Boutique located in Mc Elhinney's Department store, Ballybofey.

Their Autumn / Winter range is amazing at the moment and they have something to suit all tastes.
You will find a mixture of daytime and night time outfits throughout the post and I have included the links to as many items as possible which should make life a little easier. I had great fun putting everything together and you will have to forgive the dodgy tan lines. As I was walking along the footpath I managed to step into a large puddle and that was all I needed minutes before a photoshoot! At least it wasn't the hair that was affected, we always have to look at the positives!

Mc Elhinney's have their trend weekend on until tomorrow, Saturday and there is lots happening in store so pop in if you are passing by. There is a Benefit masterclass, Denim workshop to find your perfect pair of jeans, the chance to win a €250 hamper, children's face painting and much more. Sonya Lennon from Frock Advisor will be there from 2-4pm giving her expert advice and I am looking forward to attending this event.

I hope you all enjoy this lookbook, let me know if you have a favourite outfit and thank you to Leah for photographing the look.

Until next time,

Emma

I absolutely loved wearing this look as I am a big fan of midi skirts and red and black is a timeless combination. I think this skirt would also be perfect for an occasion as it is a dressy style.

A faux fur jacket is a staple for Autumn / Winter and I fell in love with this emerald green colour. It also comes in black but I thought a different colour would break up the look and compliment the gold top. The jacket is actually very light so it would be ideal for a night out or during the day if you want the faux fur look without the weight of it!

Again, I loved the colour of this waterfall jacket and it was so cosy. The jeans are a 'One Size Fits All' style. I was curious to see how they fitted as I had originally saw them on Xpose and couldn't quite believe that there was no size attached to them. On the programme they had ladies who ranged from a size 8-14 try them on and they fitted every single size. When I tried them on, I can honestly say I have never felt more comfortable and secure in a pair of jeans. I loved the shade of denim, they give you a great shape and they have a bum lift effect which was amazing - something all ladies are interested in no doubt!

Two pieces are one of my wardrobe staples and here I have shown you how to style this Lavish Alice look in 2 different ways. The trousers are a culotte style and I found the shape of them to be very flattering on. The bottom of the crop ties at the back and I liked this effect as it made the outfit a little different.

This is a look that could be kept casual for the day by wearing an ankle boot, brogue, runner etc but I went for a dressy style and paired it with a black heel. I love wearing blazers and chiffon shirts and the stripy detail was right up my street - I thought it blended in really well with the colour of the jeans. The bag is Tommy Hilfiger and I won't lie, it felt rather nice having something designer on my arm!

This was the dress I featured on my social media as a sneak preview of the post and a lot of you loved it which is always great to see! :) This wouldn't be the type of dress I would normally go for, but once I tried it on I really liked it. I loved the cinch in waist detail and bows on both sleeves. I paired it with nude heels but black would also be perfect and accessories could be kept to a minimum as the dress is a statement in itself.

RED LACE DRESS

I have saved my personal favourite look until last. Tan fur coats, fedora hats and loafers are my go to look every winter. The jeans were a boyfriend/Mom style and I loved the relaxed look/fit of them. The shoes are the one item I would definitely love to invest in if I had to choose only one piece from this lookbook. To say they were comfortable would be an understatement - they were so spongy and I could have walked for miles in them. As I work in retail, I am constantly on my feet and it is really important to invest in a quality shoe so these are on the wishlist!
