Environ treatment at Catherine's Laser and beauty salon #collab

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all well and had a nice weekend. Unfortunately mine was a working one but when you enjoy what you do, it's half the battle ☺ I am very excited to have collaborated with Catherine's Laser and Beauty salon, Letterkenny on their Environ skincare range. Last weekend, I had the Active Vitamin Skin Treatment and I will be filling you in on how I got on with it. I always like to wait a week or so after having any kind of skin treatment so that I can give my skin time to see how it reacts.

I'm sure, like myself, many of you have heard of Environ before and perhaps some of you even use the products. I noticed it to be very popular with a few influencers and I had always been curious to see what all of the fuss was about! Before the treatment, I was doing a little research on the background to the brand and thought I would share it here as I found it really interesting.

Environ creates scientifically researched and developed skincare products that make a lasting difference to the appearance of the skin. This is done by combining technology with the basic skincare principles. Dr Des Fernandes who is the founder, designed Environ to help correct the visible effects of a lack of Vitamin A, something that everyone suffers from in the exposed areas of their skin. This can lead to sun damage and also ageing at an early age.  The Environ formula is based on the need to help replenish all the essential skin nutrients lost by exposure to the sun and environment whilst also moisturising the skin's appearance. The Environ range has been formulated to combat and relieve the harmful effects of today's environment changes and also the modern day effects of social and work stress/poor diet. The products can be used on all skin types, of all ages and of both genders.

I loved watching this clip on the concept behind the brand - "You only have one skin, look after it, you only get get one life, live it"

The Active Vitamin Treatment is what I had done. My skin hasn't been great the past few weeks and I have been suffering with a few breakouts so I was looking forward to relaxing for the hour and letting the products and machine work their magic. The lovely Grace was looking after me and she was so knowledgeable with any question I had regarding the treatment.

Packed with nourishing anti-ageing ingredients, the Active Vitamin Treatment is designed to leave skin looking radiant and dewy. The freshest, most active forms of vitamin A, C and antioxidants are driven deep into the lower layers of the skin using sound waves and small electrical pulses. This was a little bit uncomfortable to begin with, it's almost like a buzzing sound in your ear but after a few minutes, I just forgot it was even there. This scientific approach stimulates collagen to soften lines and improve elasticity, increase hydration and boost radiance. The Active Vitamin Treatment is suitable for all skin types and is particularly effective at addressing sun-damage, pigmentation, premature ageing, dryness, uneven skin tone and scarring.

My skin felt amazing afterwards, a little red for a couple of hours but that is to be expected and I avoided wearing make-up for a few days after so that I could let my skin breathe. When I did go to apply make-up, I definitely found a difference in how it sat on my skin and even my mum had said this to me! It felt extremely hydrated, soft, radiant and squeaky clean! I asked Grace how often you should get the treatment done and she recommended every 4-6 weeks. Due to the small electrical pulses, this would not be suitable for those that have epilepsy or are pregnant and the cost is €85.

Other Environ treatments also available are listed below:

Collagen Power Facial
1 hour €80
1.5 hour €110

This peptide-packed facial helps to boost collagen, soften fine lines and tighten lax skin, resulting in a more youthful appearance. Ideal for targeting mature or photo-damaged complexions. The treatment uses gentle sound waves to drive a special nutrient packed serum deep into the lower layers of the skin. The formula contains a unique combination of three peptide complexes which work in synergy to give skin a plumper, more radiant appearance.

The Frown Treatment
45 minutes €75
Course of 6 €400

This highly effective treatment uses a special penta-peptide serum to target frown lines and achieve dramatic results. The unique combination of active ingredients is driven deep into the skin to soften lines and reduce muscle tension in the forehead helping to prevent new lines forming. The treatment targets the same chemical complexes as injectables without the associated risks.

Hydra Boost Treatment
1 hour €80

The perfect antidote to dry, lacklustre skin, this intensive treatment deeply hydrates while plumping and firming the skin. Based on Hyaluronic Acid, which holds 1000 times its own weight in water. It helps to reduce fine lines caused by dehydration and increase the plumpness of the dermis, resulting in moisturised glowing skin.

Purifying Treatment
45 minutes €60

Created to purify micro-exfoliate and re-hydrate your skin, this particular treatment assists with the treatment of acne, scarring and deep skin congestion. The combination of scientifically advanced products and techniques revives and refreshes your skin, leaving your skin feeling like new.

I hope you have enjoyed this review on the Vitamin Skin Treatment and thank you once again to Catherine for inviting me in to try it out.

If you have any other questions on anything I have covered, make sure to give the girls a buzz via the contact details below. I hope that you will treat yourselves to one of the treatments because I can guarantee that you (or your skin) won't regret it!

London / Milan Fashion Week and a round up of my outfits

Hi everyone,

I apologise for only getting around to creating this blog post now but it took me a lot longer than anticipated to put everything together - the perfectionist in me wanted to make sure I had everything spot on before it went live. So, with that being said, this is hands down my favourite post to date - Milan and London Fashion Week!

The launch of Belfast Fashion Week

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all well? Last week was a busy one for me with lots going on but I think the highlight was meeting Jo Malone at her event in Dublin for the launch of one of her new products. It was one of the most inspirational events I've been to and she was so down to earth.

I was going to do a segment on snapchat where I talked all about it but have decided to do a blog post instead and should hopefully get that covered this week. Today, I'm filling you all in on the launch of Belfast Fashion Week which I will be attending next week. It's always a brilliant event and I'm really looking forward to it.
