Hi gals,
I hope you are all enjoying your Sunday (or what is left of it more to the point!) I had a really chilled day putting the finishing touches to this blog post so I am very excited to finally share it. If I had a penny for every time I was asked about dresses, I would be a very rich lady haha so with that in mind here is 50 dresses for UNDER €50!

Denim & Print
Hi Everyone.
I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful weather we are having and long may it last! I was in Dublin on Wednesday for a River Island press day and the launch of the Stila SS16 collection in Harvey Nichols Dundrum which I will be covering in a separate blog post. It was a fun day and I shot this outfit while I was there. The focus is on denim dungaree dresses which are really funky for day or night wear.

Interview with the Derry Journal
Hi Everyone,
I hope you are all enjoying the bank holiday. I was honoured to be featured in the Derry Journal and for anyone interested in having a read of the interview, I have provided a link below. Thank you to Laura Harkin for asking me to take part in the feature. It's always a little surreal seeing articles like this and I would like to extend a big kiss and hug to all of you for your continuous support, I wouldn't be anywhere without my readers.
Talk soon,
Emma

Accessories to update any look
How many of us underestimate what a hat or statement pair of earrings can do to your outfit? A dress that can seem shapeless will be brought to life with a belt, a plain shirt can be jazzed up with a detachable collar and a fedora hat can make you go from fashion intern to creative director.
STATEMENT NECKLACES
The secret to dressing up a basic top or dress is with a statement necklace. As you can see, this everyday top was made that little bit more funky and it is great to experiment with a little pattern-the bolder the better! I particularly love the necklace with this dress pictured below. Although the look doesn't need an excessive amount of accessories, I think the statement necklace makes the dress even more chic.
I love this necklace from River Island pictured below and you can see it HERE
FEDORA HATS
Not for the faint hearted, it can take a few trial runs before you feel completely comfortable wearing fedora hats in public but all it takes is one try and you won't look back. Not only are they uber stylish but they have saved me from a multitude of bad hair days! They add an instant element of individuality and turn a somewhat normal outfit into something extraordinary.
I love this one from ASOS - it's the perfect colour for matching everything and you can see it HERE
EMBELLISHED COLLARS
Embellished collars are an underrated accessory. They instantly dress up a plain denim or white shirt and also create a more funky look. Some shirts you can purchase ready made with the embellishment on them, some collars are sold separately but above all else why not DIY and create a customised shirt you know no one will have?

WAIST BELTS
Waist belts are one of the best accessories and not because they uplift a monotonous, shapeless dress but they also accentuate your figure to maximum effect - especially hourglass and pear shapes. The right type of belt can even give the allusion of a waist if you don't have one and with a wide variety to choose from (skinny to wide) you will find one to suit your needs. I like to use them as an excuse to release my inner Beyonce haha!
I love love the embellished detail on this belt pictured below and it would be amazing paired with a plain dress. See it HERE

SUNGLASSES
Not just for when the sun appears, sunglasses have now become a stylish accessory and I like to use them for my style diaries. There are so many shapes, colours and styles to choose from so always make sure to invest in a pair that is suitable for your face shape. Penney's have a great range as always but I also love this animal print pair. Believe it or not they are from Tesco and cheap as chips!

Let me know if you try any of these tips or have any hidden gems that aren't mentioned here, I always love to hear from you all.
Until next time,
Emma
